It has been a long time coming, many set backs, outside forces at play trying to disrupt as much as possible. But with a temporary home ground – Beenleigh’s Doug Watt Oval – sorted, uniforms ordered and on their way and all the t’s crossed it can be revealed that the scheduling Gods seem to be shining on Yarrabilba with three senior teams in action for the first time on the same weekend.
While the draws for the upcoming season is still to be released competition organisers for both the Logan District Cricket Association (LDCA) and the Last Man Stands Beaudesert (LMS Beaudesert) are planning on both of their competitions to begin on the same weekend – October 10th & 11th.
For the Yarrabilba Cane Toads it is lining up that both LDCA senior teams, one in the highest grade and one in the competitions lowest grade – dependent on the final make up of the competition will both be in action on the same day, the games will be played within the Logan area on Saturday the 10th October.
Meanwhile the following day will see the Yarrabilba Cane Toads team make their debut in the Last Man Stands – Beaudesert competition.
This means that all of our senior teams are in action across the one weekend, a truly blockbuster weekend for the association, the players, sponsors and the local Yarrabilba community.
Details on the Yarrabilba Cricket website will be updated once the draw’s are released.
Due to some last minute withdrawals there are two team positions left for the Last Man Stands Cane Toads squad – registration is $50 + $15 per week and includes our playing shirt, ball fees, umpire fees etc.
