A Message from Glenn McGrath

The Pink Stumps Day event has become almost a tradition within clubs across Australia. It is a day where we get to showcase our clubs, involve the community, all while raising much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation to hire and train more nurses that specialise in the field of Breast Cancer. This year we are attempting to raise $800 for the McGrath Foundation, in their bid to continue funding their established 145 nurses who are there to support sufferers and their families.

The process has started, plans are well and truly underway for an online auction to be staged right here on the Yarrabilba Cricket Association’s website.  ALL proceeds spent in purchasing items through the auction will go to the McGrath Foundation as part of our efforts to raise $800 to help continue to fund their 145 breast care nurses. Some Prizes already donated include:

Information for our first annual Pink Stumps Day will be announced in-due-course. Taking into account the impact Breast Cancer has had, and will have, to almost every person in and around the Yarrabilba community, either in their own family or associated close to them. Which is why the Yarrabilba Cricket Association Incorporated are planning a Fundraising Event that goes beyond the cricket fields.

Once the draw for the Logan District Cricket Association’s competitions are announced we will be able to lock in a date, and details. But please check back because this event is for a good cause and will have something for everyone.
