Junior LMS still hunting for numbers

The Yarrabilba Cane Toads have found themselves within hopping distance of having the numbers required to field the associations first Junior side in the local Last Man Stands Beaudesert junior competition with just a handful of spots on the inaugural side left up for grabs.

Last Man Stands Beaudesert has grown dramatically over the last couple of years, now featuring two fully competitive senior sides and recently running a junior competition that featured Greenbank Gorillas and the Jimboomba Bush Rangers. With the number of parents already expressing interest and registering their children the Yarrabilba Cane Toads remain just a few players short of joining the junior competition and making it an at least three-way competition this upcoming season.

Last Man Stands cricket is the original 100-ball cricket competition that launched worldwide in 2005, and now has over 100 000 players worldwide competing in what is the Word’s Largest Amateur Cricket competition.

For the Last Man Stands – Beaudesert Junior Cricket competition matches are played on Sunday mornings at Greenbank, Jimboomba and Waterford – matches will also be added in Yarrabilba when future facilities are built. And the best part is ALL matches are over and done with in just two hours, this means no long ‘boring‘ hot days of supporting for parents.

Registration is $90 – however it includes:

  • Weekly Tuesday Training.
  • A training session with Big Bash League player Simon Milenko.
  • Maroon Yarrabilba Cane Toads Playing Pants.
  • Yarrabilba Cane Toads LMS playing shirt with child’s chosen name & number.

The umpire scores the game live, and so the only thing for parents to do is sit back and enjoy the game of cricket. Players aged 12-15 are being looked for for this fun and active cricketing style, who have the opportunity to make new connections and friends through the game of Cricket.

The Yarrabilba Cricket Association is a Level 3 Accredited Good Sports club and are an approved activity provider for the Queensland Government’s Fair Play Voucher system – meaning if you are eligible for a voucher you could register your child for FREE!
