Iconic shift for Cane Toads

The Yarrabilba Cane Toads will be heading into the 2021/2022 cricket season with a new look, after agreeing to a partnership with new apparel supplier Icon Sports (QLD). A move the Executive Committee see as an important step in the clubs continued push to bring excitement and enjoyment back to local cricket.

The 2021/2022 cricket season has the potential to see a monumental shift in the local cricketing landscape. For the first time in almost a decade the local governing body of cricket – the Logan District Cricket Association (LDCA) – has a new Executive Committee with Nick Young (President), Matt Turbill (Secretary) and Shane Harris (Treasurer) stepping up to take on the new roles.

With it a chance for change. A chance for new voices to be heard and an opportunity for the clubs within the Logan region to come together and start moving the local competition to an improved level.

But change at the top is not the only thing on the horizon for the local cricket scene. The Yarrabilba Cane Toads have an exciting season ahead and it starts with the clubs apparel. With the Yarrabilba Cricket Association recently partnering with Icon Sports (QLD) for a new look for the side both on and off the field.

Apparel

RJR Sports were a fantastic apparel supplier for the Yarrabilba Cricket Association during our initial establishment year. We will forever be grateful to Ryan & the team at RJR Sports.

However, in the continued focus of the Yarrabilba Cricket Association to stand out and make a difference, saw the club partner with Icon Sports (QLD) when the opportunity arose.

With a fresh new look the Yarrabilba Cane Toads will be standing out both on and off the field with our new club merchandise.

A new training shirt and shorts, which still include the much adored pockets and zips have been designed as comfortable as ever and ready for our players to wear with pride at all training sessions.

A Club & Supporters Polo shirt are among the new designs and merchandise offerings this season. This will allow representatives, supporters and players to show off their club pride when out and about in the community.

Another exciting addition to the club merchandise this year includes Charity Players Pack – this is targeted towards a coloured uniform that our players are able to wear during charity events and tournaments.

The idea is to ensure that when our players adorn this uniform the community and supporters immediately know it is for a good cause.

Additionally friends and family are able to order both white, and coloured playing shirts with their own number or that of their friend/relative.

As with any business or sporting group, over the course of the off-season we have bid goodbye to some sponsors and welcomed on board some new ones. One advantage of the Yarrabilba Cane Toads is our ever improving website part of that is our Player Profiles. These are designed to keep track of ALL players stats with the Yarrabilba Cricket Association.

While the system is still in its infancy, it is building and throughout the 2021/2022 all players who play for the Yarrabilba Cane Toads will have profile photos taken for their Player Profile page.

LIVE STREAMING

One of the most exciting steps for the Yarrabilba Cane Toads this season is the introduction of LIVE STREAMING with selected matches throughout the season being beamed LIVE to our YouTube Channel.

We want to showcase our local cricket, raise the standard and ensure that future memorable moments of our players as they develop through their careers are caught and able to be shared with friends, family and cricket lovers.

The systems now put in place this upcoming season will see the matches Live Streamed to YouTube with added broadcast styled Scorecards, match statistics and batters/bowlers current match stats. This is a massive step forward for the Yarrabilba Cricket Association, one that it is hoped will further showcase the talent within the local cricketing area.
